Project Details:
The project involved the construction of 2 Alaskan type fish passes incorporating an Eel Pass. Although the ultimate client of ours was Ribble Rivers Trust there was also involvement from the Environment Agency and local authority Burnley Borough Council.
The fish pass was constructed in reinforced concrete with the Alaskan sections being designed and supplied by Fishtek.
The scheme was particularly complex from a temporary works point of view in that water courses from two different directions had to be dealt with as shown on the photograph.
