Managing Director Michael Preston started in 1986 as a trainee quantity surveyor for Harry Place and Partners, a private practice firm of quantity surveyors in Burnley. Michael spent 9 years obtaining vital training working on the client side of mainly building projects.
Whilst working at Harry Place and Partners, Michael obtained a degree in Quantity Surveying at Salford University. Vital experience was gained preparing tender and contract documents for various clients in both the Private and Public Sectors.
In 1995, Michael joined William Pye Ltd Civil Engineering and Building Contractors and spent 21 years there as a quantity surveyor and estimator with the last 10 years as a Commercial Manager. Michael has filled many roles at William Pye Ltd including producing Tender Bids, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Quantity Surveying pre and post contract and Project Management.
Michael started MCK Contract Services in December 2016.
